THE NEW MEGA G3™ TECHNOLOGY INCREASES THE PERFORMANCES OF THE TOP CAMPAGNOLO ALUMINUM MEDIUM-PROFILE WHEELS. For the 2012 season, Campagnolo presents the leading products of Campagnolo's medium-profile wheels range: the new Shamal™ Ultra™ & the new Eurus™ 2012. These new high end wheelsets represent a big step ahead in terms of performance and reactivity. To optimize the key features of a road bike wheelset, such as weight, aerodynamic and stiffness, engineers at Campy Tech Lab™ are always working hard implementing new technologies. One of the new results of these efforts is the Mega G3™ Geometry, the further development of the G3™ Geometry, which optimises the spoke tension and delivers a long lasting performance. Furthermore, both Shamal™Ultra™ and Eurus™ 2012 wheelsets mount a new oversize drive side flange on the rear wheel that is now bigger and allows to increase dramatically the responsiveness of the wheels and the overall performance of the bicycle. As the previous version, the Shamal™ Ultra™ 2012 is equipped with carbon-aluminium hub bodies in order to optimize the weight and stiffness of the wheelset. Within the hub you can find USB™ ceramic balls which reduce the friction coefficient, deliver a greater smoothness and maintain performance over time.

The Eurus™ has aluminium hub bodies which serve a greater stiffness and include steel balls bearings to guarantee a long lasting performance. Because of the cup and cone system, the bearings are more adjustable and easily to maintain. The 2012 Shamal™ Ultra™ wheelset will be available in three versions: clincher, tubular and the exclusive Campagnolo 2-Way Fit™ system, which allows to mount either the traditional clincher or the innovative tubeless tire. Each version itself can be chosen in two new colourations: Black & White and Dark Label. The Eurus™ 2012 road bike wheels will be available in two versions: clincher and 2-Way Fit™ system. Both versions are highlighted with the new Black & White graphics.
