Bicycle Industry Product Manager - Melbourne Metro

Bikesportz Imports is one of Australia’s leading suppliers to the growing Australian Bicycle Industry, representing market leading cycling ’A’ brands and solutions, from all over the world. Due to increased demand and job role transitions, we urgently need to add to our team of professional and passionate product managers.

You are somebody who is looking to combine their passion for cycling and bicycle products, with an in-depth understanding of the bicycle retail industry, B2B relationships management and NBD strategy. Ideally you have experience in bicycle, sporting or clothing industries, either at retail or wholesale level and can translate that experience, to serving both the customers needs and that of the brands we represent.

Communication and relationship management skills are essential, as that will be your most important role for Bikesportz, its brands and our IBD customers. You must be trustworthy, reliable, self-motivating, self-managing, a great listener and desperate to provide the best service and results to your customers. As a Bikesportz representative, you will be aiming to set the bar for professional and proactive service to Australia's leading IBD retailers.

Responsible for the company’s largest brand, you must be able to hit the ground running, as sales target expectations will be high from the get-go. This is not a beginner’s position, so you must be prepared to meet and set high standards in a short period of time.

A blue-ribbon position, in the most dynamic cycling market in Australia, with one of Australia’s leading premium distributors, is an opportunity that does not come around often and should invite the interest of anyone serious about being a successful part of Australia’s dynamic cycling industry.

Expected starting package circa $53-60K

Bikesportz Imports is one of Australia’s leading suppliers to the Australian Bicycle Industry, representing premium, market leading cycling brands from all over the world. Due to continued growth in sales and recent brand acquisitions, Bikesportz is looking to add to our team of passionate, professional and knowledgeable sales people.

You will not only require a passion for cycling and the bicycle industry, but must also possess an excellent knowledge of bicycle products, and IBD retailer and consumer demands. Part of the sales team your role will be broad and will expand at the rate your experience, capabilities and ambition allow. You will be required to manage some, or all of the following tasks;

· Customer and field rep support

· Web based product promotion and B2B administration

· Order processing

· Stock management

· Sales strategy development and implementation

· Sales reporting

· Marketing and sponsorship activities

· Sales training for IBD customers and field reps

· In-store merchandising and POS development

· Representing Bikesportz at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

You will report directly to both the National Sales & Marketing and Operations Managers, as your role will span both sales and stock control functions.

This is a full time position and is based in our Head Office in Braeside, Melbourne.
