Lazer rider dominates the European cyclocross circuit

Current Cyclocross World Champion Zdenek Stybar (above right in the special edition World Champion Lazer Helium) has been having a dream season. Stybar spent the early season winning every race he started including the October 31st Superprestige Zonhoven. Some recent knee issues have slowed him down slightly in the last few weeks but a 2nd place finish on November 20 at the GP Hasselt Belgium and a 5th place finish on November 21 at the Superprestige Gavere Belgium shows that he has held his good form and should be back to his winning ways very soon. Stybar currently leads the UCI Cyclocross rankings with 780 points, 308 points over the next closest competitor!
Stybar’s team mate Kevin Pauwels (above left in the Lazer Helium team edition) showed his good form last weekend with a pair of fantastic results. At the November 20 GP Hasselt Belgium Pauwels would prove the strongest rider of the day taking victory over his team mate Stybar with another team mate Bart Wellens finishing in 4th. The following day in Gavere Belgium Pauwels would find himself in a sprint finish again the veteran cyclocross star Sven Nys. Pauwels nearly won again, losing the sprint by only inches to Nys with Pauwels team mate Wellens again finishing 4th on the day and Stybar coming in 5th.
The Telenet-Fidea team is looking great as they look towards the next UCI race November 27th in Koksijde Belgium. Lazer Sport is proud to support the Telenet-Fidea team and wish them good luck this weekend!
