Cadel Evans is the winner of the 2007
individual UCI ProTour
Cadel Evans, riding with a SanMarco Rever White, ( Predictor-Lotto team ) is the final overall winner of the 2007 individual UCI ProTour competition after sealing victory with a strong performance in the Giro di Lombardia, the last race that counts towards the prestigious season-long competition.
Evans started the race wearing the special white UCI ProTour leader’s jersey after Danilo Di Luca’s exclusion and proved he deserved to collect the final jersey and winner’s trophy by finishing sixth behind winner Damiano Cunego of the Lampre team, who beat fellow Italian Riccardo Riccò in a two-man sprint.
